Waterberg Plateau
The Waterberg Plateau is an out of sandstone consisting table mountain. Its name derives from the fact that the
sandstone retains water and this water escapes at the foot of the Waterberg in form of springs.
Not only the history of this region is interesting because here the decisive battle between the German colonial
forces and the Herero took place, but it is also a wildlife paradise. On the plateau you can see, among others,
wide and black rhinos.
